Acupuncturist
I was born in Bristol and my father was an acupuncturist, so I was brought up with Chinese medicine and an alternative outlook on the world we live in. I have personal experience that acupuncture and Chinese medicine aids the body's self healing and I have an unwavering belief that our health is dependent on many different factors, not just physiological processes. So I have always wanted to discover more.

From a young age I was interested in the knowledge from the East and I learnt Kung Fu as a child, I started to meditate from an early age and spent time in a Buddhist monastery in Thailand when I was 21. However my time there was cut short because of the 2004 Tsunami, so I traveled to some of the areas of worse destruction to help out as best I could.
I also studied Taijiwuxigong (Qi Gong) with Dr Shen Hongxun.
Dr shen was truly inspirational and I really enjoyed learning from him. Although I feel my journey on this topic still has many miles to travel, I very much hope to become a teacher of tajijwuxigong one day.

Since I was a very little boy, I have adored wildlife and animals. My real interest in this came from seeing how plants and animals interact in eco systems and how this balance in nature seems so perfect. I have done a lot of conservation work for butterflies and dragonflies and this work has helped me understand how humans health also relates to their environment.

From a young age I have always had an instinct to help prompt the body’s healing through massage. I always knew eventually I would follow in my father’s footsteps and become an acupuncturist. So I chose to study in Reading at the College of Integrative Chinese Medicine. I graduated with a full Licentiate in Acupuncture and a BSc(Hons) degree.
For me, Five Element acupuncture explains so much of how we are influenced by our environment, by understanding our own natures we can thrive. Traditional Chinese Medicine also understands how we as mammals have evolved to fit perfectly with our environment. I believe, by understanding these processes and how they influence our true natures, we can learn to find our own fine balance, in this modern era of technology.

I have also completed further training for a diploma specialising in Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Fertility.
